Our 2022 Horse Riding Summer Camp Programs

Each camp is Monday through Friday and can accommodate up to 12 campers per week. We offer small groups with a high staff-to-camper ratio to maximize our campers’ fun and safety.

Summer Horse Camps: Ages 8+

Horse camp is for kids ages eight and older, and it is very horse centered. Each camper is assigned a horse for the week, and that is who they ride each day. We find that this develops a greater rapport between horse and camper!

Our campers ride every day of the week. Our professional trainers work with our campers to learn how to communicate and build trust with their horses. Campers also get to watch a farrier shoe horses. It is all about learning everything that would be a part of owning your own horse.

During horse camp, our summer camp kids learn:

  • Basic horse anatomy
  • Grooming (they will bathe the horses too!)
  • Saddling
  • Riding

In addition to riding and horse care, our campers will also have fun:

  • Going on nature hikes
  • Doing arts and crafts
  • Playing with our friendly goats

We are located in the beautiful Los Gatos mountains, and the stable is surrounded by 100-year-old oak trees. The trails that we hike are among the most beautiful around.

Horse Camp Time & Rates

  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Reviews about Our Horse Lessons and Camps

Highly recommend

“I’m delighted to have our 4 year old completely comfortable and confident on horseback. He even cantered this week.”

Stuart Dicker

All the time I spent there, I was smiling.

“Great, the owner was nice to me, I enjoyed the horse I was riding (Rafiki) and we started a friendship, I could feel improvement every time I went and it was super fun. Although I wish we could ride the horses more, we got to have fun and chill around the horses. All the time I spent there, I was smiling. Next time I go, I hope I get to see Rafiki again.”

Emma Adores Going Up to Bear Creek

When Emma started she had confidence issues that melted away under Pam Ashford’s kind, positive teaching style. Within a couple of lessons, she had Emma jumping with a huge smile on her face again. Pam believes in her students and that alone gives them confidence. It’s a huge thing for a teenager!
