Ranch Rules Welcome to Bear Creek Stables

Environmental Quality Commitment Statement

  1. Bear Creek Stables is located in a beautiful and ecologically sensitive area of the Los Gatos mountains. It is our responsibility and our commitment to maintain our environment.
  2. We encourage car pooling whenever possible. We have an active recycling program, where grain bags, soda cans, etc., are separated from the trash. Reusable water bottles are encouraged, and we have a water cooler which can be used to refill water bottles.
  3. No loud amplified music is allowed, in order to not disturb the wildlife. Bats are a very important part of our ecosystem, and loud noise can be very disruptive to them. Trail riders are encouraged to view wildlife from a distance. Never approach animals on the trail.

  6. Inflammatory, racist, sexist, aggressive or exclusionary rhetoric, including bullying or shaming, will not be tolerated.
  7. Persons displaying this behavior or actions will be required to vacate the premises at once.

Bear Creek Stables strives to always be exceptional stewards of our environment. We are always looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint and our effect on the environment. Comments and suggestions are always welcome!!

Bear Creek Stable is located on a historic ranch that has over 100 years of use.

Without a doubt, I feel so fortunate to have Bear Creek Stables as part of my life.

“I’ve been a border at Bear Creek Stables for over 20 years. It’s a refuge and sanctuary for not only myself but also my horses. I feel so grateful to have a place where I can feel the peace of being outdoors with my horses.”

    - Helen Midgard, long time boarder and loving owner of Abbey and Villam
    It’s a very special place.

“We love the quiet and unhurried pace of the stable that seems to relax all the horses and works just like a healing tonic. The proximity to trail riding on the beautiful open space lands is a real gift. This stable...should be made a historical landmark.”

    - Karin Wagner, Executive Director, Neigh Savers Foundation, Inc.
All the time I spent there, I was smiling.

“Great, the owner was nice to me, I enjoyed the horse I was riding (Rafiki) and we started a friendship, I could feel improvement every time I went and it was super fun. All the time I spent there, I was smiling.”

    - Brandon K.
    Highly Recommend
